Add a touch of luxury to your home

Do you want to heat your home more efficiently, whilst adding both luxury and comfort, at the same time? Underfloor heating may be the best solution for you.

Heat your home more efficiently

It has been proven that underfloor heating systems are around 25% more efficient than equivalent radiator systems. The reason for this is because underfloor heating systems utilise the principle of ‘heat rises’, both hot water wet and electric dry systems.

Wet underfloor heating: Hot water underfloor heating systems produce warmth by pumping warm water through pipes under the floor.

Dry underfloor heating: With a dry system, you will have electric coils placed under the floor.

However, both types of underfloor heating adopt the same principal and gently emits warmth upwards, where heat is evenly distributed in the area leaving no cold spots in the room, to efficiently heat your home.

Underfloor heating is much more efficient in comparison to standard radiators, as normal radiators heat up the area immediately around them, this ends up being quickly dispersed upwards, and away from the desired area. On the other hand, a good underfloor heating system will heat a larger area.

Standard radiators have to work harder for you to feel the heat as they require the water temperature to be higher to work effectively. But, with underfloor heating, you don’t have to worry about this being an issue. Wet underfloor heating systems require the water to be at a lower temperature for it to work effectively, which allows your boiler to work more efficiently.

No more struggling to find the perfect temperature

One of the best things about underfloor heating is that it provides your home with a nice even temperature, not to mention keeping your feet nice and toasty.

When you think of underfloor heating, you usually associate it with luxury and comfort. Warm hotel bathroom floors beneath your feet, heating them up to just the perfect temperature. But you could indulge in this luxury every day, in the comfort of your own home, in any room.

Hidden and out of view

If you’re striving to achieve a minimalistic look in your home, underfloor heating is more than ideal. Underfloor heating is hidden away and out of sight, so you can be done with the clutter of radiators.

The fact underfloor heating is tucked out of the way makes it the ideal heating system for open-plan living spaces and rooms such as kitchens, bathrooms or conservatories, where space is at a premium.

Underfloor heating is also ideal for new builds, new-room builds and renovations, too.

Another great benefit of your heating system being out of the way is that it makes your home a much safer environment for children and the elderly, as it has no exposed hot or sharp edges.

Works with plenty of floor coverings

Underfloor heating will work with most floor coverings such as tiles or engineered wood and it works particularly well with tiles and stone so you can design your home in the way you want. However, it won’t work with solid wood as it’s a breathing material and will shrink and expand at different times.
